Jamie Weil is a writer, musician, and deeply inexperienced painter from Plantsville, CT. Since she was a toddler—forcing her mother to draw the letters of the alphabet in chalk on her driveway—Jamie has been curious about everything from plate tectonics to Debussy. Often, this curiosity spurs creativity! (As well as the occasional Wikipedia binge.)

In May of 2021, Jamie received her BA in Creative Writing and History from Oberlin College. She has published poetry and creative nonfiction, and is a co-winner of the 2021 Emma Howell Poetry Prize. She has also self-produced six albums (plus an EP) of original music.

Jamie has served as a poetry Teaching Assistant and has done editorial work for COUNTERCLOCK Journal and Oberlin's Wilder Voice. She is currently a volunteer poetry reader for Abandon Journal
